Why we offer Lesop Player with LAV filters?
Lav Filters is not the only pack of codecs that works with Lesop Player, but it's the one we choose for the people that want to play all kind of media files, and don't want to look for codec packs. If you select "Download Lesop Player with LAV" you could uninstall later LAV filters, because it's not part of the program nad doesn't work with it unless you select LAV Filters as the default filter source.
Is LAV Filters property of Lesop?
No, Lav filters and all of their components are not from Lesop software. The use of it installer is only intended for simplicity for non media software knowledge users.
Does LAV Filters came with the same license of Lesop Player?
No, Lav filters are release under the GPL license agreement. To download LAv filters or their source code you can click in here.
Why Lesop Player doesn't came with it's own Codecs?
Due to Patent fees requirements, and development status of our own codecs, we are sorry to inform that the disponibility of our own codecs might last a few months. But this doesn't mean that Lesop Player can't use others codecs existent over the internet.
